Meet Richard Consoli
Richard Consoli retired as President of the Precision Measurement Group at Cross Company in 2021. In his role, he oversaw a division with a $65 million budget and 350 employees, leading with a servant leadership approach and focusing on employee empowerment and customer satisfaction.
Prior to selling his business to Cross Company, Richard co-founded Innovative Controls, Incorporated, a manufacturing systems integration company, in 1991. He brought over 30 years of experience in manufacturing automation and validation, along with an Executive MBA from the University of Tennessee’s Haslam College of Business and a BSEE from Auburn University.
Beyond his professional achievements, Richard is passionate about community service. He actively engages in nonprofit work and community service. In retirement, he focuses on supporting underserved communities by facilitating access to sustainable skilled jobs through nonprofit initiatives.
Currently, Richard serves as the Board President of Driving Hope Tennessee and as the Treasurer for YOKE, a local nonprofit empowering youth through mentoring programs. In addition, he also serves on the boards of Turn Up Knox, a local nonprofit that uses meditation to reduce gun violence, and Evergreen, a local nonprofit that supports minority entrepreneurship. He also dedicates two days a week to supporting KnoxWorx, a Knoxville Leadership Foundation initiative, helping people find successful futures through training and certifications in high-demand industries.
Richard is an active member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Farragut. He has been happily married to his wife Leslie for 34 years, and they have three children and three grandchildren.
