Meet Minister JD Jackson
Minister JD Jackson was born and raised in Nashville, TN, and currently resides in Knoxville, TN. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at age 12 and was baptized at Galilee Missionary Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Levi A. Britt.
After graduating from Hume Fogg High School, he served six years in the United States Air Force before transitioning into the automotive industry, where he built a successful career spanning over two decades as a finance and sales manager for major dealerships. He also co-owned a dealership and, since 2017, has served as Chief Operating Officer for SEEED Inc.
Minister JD attended Berean Bible Theological Seminary and was ordained by Apostle Edward Kirkpatrick of Abundant Life Church in Greensboro, NC. In 2006, he was appointed co-pastor of Abundant Life Church of Knoxville alongside Minister Tabace Burns, a role he continues to fulfill today.
His dedication to servant leadership extends beyond the church. He co-founded Men on Fire for God, a nonprofit that equips men to be leaders in their homes, churches, and communities. He also served on the board of the Western Heights Stakeholder Coalition, a faith-based initiative focused on community empowerment.
Minister JD is actively involved in initiatives that remove barriers for underserved communities. As part of the leadership team for the Community Healing Fund, a pilot program of the United Way of Greater Knoxville, he served to increase funding opportunities for Black-led nonprofits. Additionally, as chaplain for the Boys and Girls Clubs in Walter P and Montgomery Village, he mentors at-risk youth, helping them recognize their God-given worth and potential.
He is married to Keisha Jackson and is a proud father to four daughters: Nicole Cordier-Walquist, Keniece Walker, Aija Jackson, and Arianna Jackson. He also honors the memory of his late daughter, Sydney Shanoy Jackson. Minister JD is a devoted grandfather to Alexander Cordier-Walquist.
