Meet Steve Bowman

Steve Bowman is a retired professional based in Knoxville, Tennessee, with a distinguished career in media and a profound commitment to community service. He served as the Retail Sales Director at the Knoxville News Sentinel, where he played a pivotal role in managing major client relationships and driving advertising revenue, significantly contributing to the publication’s success. During his 25 years with the News Sentinel, he developed a direct mail company, a commercial printing division and an alternate delivery company using the physical, capital and human resources of the larger company.

Beyond his professional achievements, Steve is deeply involved in community initiatives. He co-founded Driving Hope TN, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing transportation solutions for individuals in need, thereby enhancing access to essential services and opportunities.

Steve’s commitment to faith and community is further exemplified by his active membership at First Baptist Church on Main Street, where he participates in various programs aimed at uplifting and supporting the local community.
